Last weekend I was a speaker at the Made to Create Pacific Northwest workshop and what a great weekend full of learning and community building for many photographers in the area. Let me tell you, it’s one thing to have fellow photographers request you do their photos and then it’s a whole new ball game when you are asked to TEACH fellow photographers, talk about some pressure! But I had a great time sharing my love for lifestyle newborn photography and was thrilled with all the new friendships built in the mean time. One of those friendships happens to be an already “insta friend” as I call them. You know those people that you follow/they follow you and you have conversations and share your lives through instagram but you have never actually met in person? I know I am not the only one! 🙂 When I was searching for a newborn model I had an idea in my mind what I hoped I would have to work with as a complete package and then I found it! I was flipping through instagram one last time before bed (again, I know I am not the only one 😉 ) and came across the lovely Chelsea (mrs g as I know her on insta) sharing her darling family and fabulous bump and my mind instantly went YES! After writing her and hearing back a resounding YES that she would love to be apart of our workshop weekend, it was set & I was going to meet one of my “inta friends”(who also happens to be a photographer herself) As I thought, she was just as sweet and raw and real in person as she was in her insta feed. How perfect was she for this and her sweet husband to sit and wait with their also adorable 22 month old Asher. They were a dream of patience and I appreciate them for that!
We came away with a great time for the attendees to practice some shooting and after they left for lunch we grabbed some more shots in a mini session just with mom and baby. I love them. If you dont have baby fever you might by the end of this. So raw and sweet and lovely.
Thank you Chelsea!! I loved meeting you and hope you will enjoy these photos! I hope we get to meet up for that family session in the near future, too! 🙂 xo
