Born just two days after her projected due date on January 7, 2014. 8 pounds 8 ounces and 21 ”
Our much anticipated Elle Anneliese was born!
She is our fourth baby to be delivered at the Birthing Inn in Tacoma. It was an intense labor and delivery and a huge rush of relief when it was over. (if you care to know more feel free to ask! I love to share.)
The newborn phase is my most favorite time. I love how a new baby brings family closer, makes the world spin a little slower and the baby smell…there is just not much better! The tiny fingers and toes and sweet full bellies…it’s all so sweet and wonderful to me. It has yet to amaze me the good and gracious gift from God that we get in babies.
I am finding that knowing this will be the last time we get to experience a new baby first hand , it is making it all that much more sweet and wonderful. Getting up at midnight and 4 am to feed her just isn’t so bad, I know just how quickly it ends and how quickly she will be in first grade like her oldest brother. So, I am taking time to enjoy and really soak this in. We have the best of all worlds right now… newborn, 2 1/2, 4 1/2 and almost 7. Busy. yes. Full hands. yes. But all good and gracious gifts to us.
These photos are from her first couple weeks with us. Sure do love this little lady. What a sweet, sweet thing….
and I have to include…that I almost always have help or a spectator or someone wanting to be involved in the photos some how.
