If you have talked to or seen my boys in the last (almost) three weeks you know they are over the moon with their sister. Here we are nearing the end of the first month and still they come in my room first thing to check on her. And it does not stop there. All the day long they are checking/asking/helping/kissing etc etc on “miss Elle” as she has been so often referred to….that and “baby Elle”I love seeing them love her. here are just a few images from her first few days home with her big brothers. love these little people…to the moon and back.
Tate, our middle man. The first night we were home with Elle he came down around 1am to check on her. We let him climb in and snuggle up. This boy just couldn’t bare to close his eyes or end his smile. From the very, very beginning he was just sure he was gaining a sister. I love that his faith in his prayers never wavered. The whole first night, every time I would check he was just staring in awe of his sweet little sister with the biggest smile. I kept reminding him he needed to sleep…but I am not sure how much of that he got that night.
Grady, our “baby turned big boy” has embraced his role as a big brother so well. He loves Elle and loves to help care for her. He often says “mom, I like Elle” or “I love baby Elle” or “baby Elle need pacifier!!!!!!” haha! He is also best at pointing out when Elle has the “pick ups” (or hiccups!) this little spit fire hasnt much of skipped a beat in his spunky-loving self.
And our biggest little man, Coleson. He takes the role very seriously as the oldest. He is caring and loving to all of his siblings (within reason of being completely bothered at times!) He is away most of the day with school so he gets the least amount of time with her but you can be sure he makes up for it!
our new crew. four!!!
